Pastor and Linda Emerson started the Ocean State Baptist Church in 1975 with just their family.

Pastor Emerson and Linda both graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri.

God has blessed Pastor Emerson's commitment to remain true to the Scriptures. As a result, the church has steadily grown from its humble beginnings with three people in a rented bank to over a thousnad today in a modern facility.

The Emersons are the parents of two grown children, Tammy and Paul.
