Since moving to Rhode Island over 35 years ago, Pastor Emerson has felt a burden to reach the entire state, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  This is evidenced by the name Ocean State Baptist Church.  With the launch of OSBC South, our prayerful desire is to see God move in the dynamic and sweeping way which has blessed our ministry in Smithfield, for 35 years.

Our mission is simple; To develop and equip followers of Jesus Christ for local and global ministry.

At OSBC South, our vision is: to serve our community in a distinctively Christian manner, showing them we are Christians by our love, so that they might know Christ through our love.
