Adult Ministries

College & Career:
New freedom, fresh start. This is where you begin defining who you really are. The College & Career fellowship gives you the know-how based on the Bible to get it right from the start. Lively studies, lots of laughing, serious answers to your questions and really great people to hang with. The group is a contemporary, reality-based ministry that is designed to challenge and harness the energy, creativity and enthusiasm of young adults to live up to their potential for Jesus Christ. In the College & Career class we don't just tell you to get a life - we show you how.

Shipmates:
Shipmates is designed for young married couples with a combined age below 70 years. This thriving ministry recognizes the needs and questions facing young married couples today and offers practical, Biblical solutions to real-life questions. With God's Word as the foundation for raising our families, we can better understand the trials that we face daily. Couples can enjoy a non-threatening informal environment and a time of interaction with other couples facing similar struggles. This class has helped couples contend with everyday battles that we all face sooner or later, obstacles like anger, guilt, depression, or fear and how to have the "victory."

We also recognize the need for Christian fellowship and encourage new couples to join us. Some of our most recent fellowships have included: Fellowship at the Lake, Family Apple Picking & Hay Ride, Wiener Roast in late October, Christmas Caroling at a Nursing Home, a "Servant's Heart Fellowship" that involved encouraging others with home baked goods, and a very special romantic night for our couples at "Café Amore." Most fellowships are designed for family enrichment while some are service oriented as a time to minister to others. Inquire at the Welcome Center information desk for details and location of our class.

Navigators:
If you're trying to find balance in this upside down world, juggling schedules, and struggling with the pressures of trying to raise children, then you need the support of mutual comrades. There's strength in numbers, and when a band of parents facing the same hurdles are empowered by God's Word to tackle the strong winds of adolescence and the hazardous storms of teenageres, then there is victory to be had.

The keys to strong, effective parenting are the right relationship to God and a good understanding of the Bible. These are the best resources available to equip you with the goals, strategy and confidence to build the foundation and walls to form your children's lives. You are eligible for this class if you are too old for the Shipmates class (combined age of 70) and still have children at home.

Flagship:
This universal, comprehensive class is open to all. Whether you're young or old, married, divorced, a single parent or widow, you are welcome to this class and regardless whether you qualify for one of the others or not. The goal of this class is to give you a strategy for living. It focuses on how to make the best use of your time and abilities through ministry—your unique ministry. The Bible is taught with a systematic plan to proivide you with the framework to live a satisfying life.
