Pastor & Linda Emerson Pastor and Linda Emerson started the Ocean State Baptist Church in 1975 with just their family. Pastor Emerson and Linda both graduated from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. God has blessed Pastor Emerson's commitment to remain true to the Scriptures. As a result, the church has steadily grown from its humble beginnings with three people in a rented bank to over a thousand today in a modern facility. The Emersons are the parents of two grown children, Tammy and Paul.

John & Jan DelRicci John and Jan DelRicci have been with Ocean State Baptist Church from its beginning. They were the first two people baptized by Pastor Emerson. Because of their musical training, the DelRiccis filled a very important need in the area of worship leading and musical accompaniment for our young church. John was called into full-time ministry soon thereafter, and became the music minister at OSBC. Their dedication to the ministry, in both Bible teaching and music reflect a desire to glorify God through praise and worship, and to edify other believers.
Glen & Jacquie Berube Glen and Jacquie Berube are native Rhode Islanders who were saved in their late twenties. They have a strong and passionate desire to serve the Lord and help others come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Glen surrendered to God’s call to full time ministry at the age of 38 and received a Bachelor of Biblical Studies from Boston Baptist College in 2001. He was ordained in April of 2007. Jacquie is a 1978 graduate of Katherine Gibbs Business School and worked as a self-employed financial planner which contributes to her administrative skills in the Church office. Glen and Jacquie are involved in various ministries including the leadership of the Shipmates class, a class for young married couples. They have been married for 30 years and thank God for His work in their lives. Glen and Jacquie have two grown children, Derek & Ashley, and three grandchildren.
Michael and Jackie Woodward
Michael and Jackie met while attending the Boston Baptist College and started attending OSBC in 2003. They began working in the Youth Department soon after joining and have worked in other ministry areas including discipleship, counseling and assisting Pastor Emerson. They both continued their education with Michael receiving his Master's in Spiritual Formation and Jackie receiving her Master's in Business and Advanced Accounting. Their prayer is to use their education and love of Christ and His Word to serve God in the fullest capacity. They have two children, Jake and Eve, and live in Smithfield.
Jason and Jaime Walden
Jason and his wife Jaime moved to Rhode Island over 9 years ago. Shortly after their relocation, it became apparent to Jason that God was moving him toward full-time ministry, a call that had been evident in his life for quite some time. While Jason completed his seminary training, both Jason and Jaime worked as volunteer staff members at OSBC, serving in several capacities. At OSBC, they were able to lead the College & Career Ministry, work with preschoolers and elementary age children, and start a weekly Bible study ministry at a nursing home in North Providence, among other ministries. Jason has continued his education receiving a Master's of Arts and is preparing to begin a new ministry in the southern Rhode Island region where they are excited to see God work! They have been blessed with three children, John, Matthew, and Leah.
